Hudson study on how women differ from men as leaders

Women may be better leaders in business today yet they still find it difficult to access positions of leadership. That's why Hudson, a leading recruitment and human resources consulting firm, conducted an international study to reveal the reasons why fewer women have access to these positions than men.

The study by Hudson is based on the evaluations and psychometric tests to more than 65,000 people worldwide over several years. It highlights the differences in behavioral and leadership between men and women within the company according to age groups and levels of responsibility. The results show that the "dominant coalition” within executive committees promotes male leadership. Women tend to sacrifice their natural behavior in favor of a masculine leadership style. This study shows that women adopt male behavior and move away from their natural behavior to access to leadership positions.
